It’s not all fun in the concert business. Sure, it warms us to know that fans love to us see us perform in venues. But there are trade-offs in this business, and we’re making it a policy not to perform at just any venue for any event. It does’t matter if we’re paid more than our current talent fees, but we’re NOT ever going to perform in a show where there is no entertainment concert insurance in place.
We use this great insurance company that gives
fast free concert insurance quotes.
We hate to tell sob stories, but the fact is that we just don’t want to happen to us what happened to some of our friends in the concert business. They were a band and we performed with them before at several concerts. At one concert where they performed as a front act, the whole floor of the stage just collapsed midway through their performance.
The price for the band’s hospitalization equaled to thousands of dollars, but the priceless damage to the band members was the lost opportunity to shine and gain some more fans. We really don’t have to describe the bloody details of the injuries they sustained, but the sad thing about the incident is that it was the band’s manager who paid for their medical attention, and it was negotiated that the band was going to reimburse him for the expenses.
We found out that the concert was not insured with an entertainment insurance policy. The concert organizers just went ahead with the concert without even getting a quote from an entertainment insurance company. We heard from some insiders that the producers were trying to save on costs by writing concert entertainment insurance last in the list of priorities.
Our friends have already recovered from their injuries. But since the accident, all of them either developed phobias for elevated stages or gnashing their teeth since part of their income in the future will go to the manager, for repaying their medical expenses. This story should make this story into a movie and sell it on the Rare TV show site.
